Broughton Anglican College is a Pre Kinder to Year 12 College. Pre Kinder, for 4 year olds, is the main entry point for Junior School and it allows for a great transition into full time schooling.
Our aim is to set students up to flourish in the Pre Kinder classroom. We do this by teaching the essential skills of learning. We teach students to think critically and creatively, encouraging them to imagine, question and problem solve. We help students to learn how to communicate and collaborate, how to solve conflicts and brainstorm ideas.
We use a well-researched preliteracy program which allows students to hear sounds and make words. We develop foundational Mathematics skills, and focus on the learning of skills to help us relate to each other.
As part of a larger College, we are able to participate in a range of activities within the Broughton community, including Chapel, Assembly and visits to the Library.
Pre Kinder commences at 8.25 am and finishes at 2.40 pm each day. Parents are able to choose a two day, three day, four day or five day program. Access to Outside School Hours Care and Vacation Care in the College.
