Domina General Insurance Brokers Why You Need to Properly Insure your Centre
It is estimated that up to 80% of all businesses are underinsured. This means that in the event of damage or loss to the centre, if you’re underinsured you probably won’t get back what you thought you might from an insurance claim.
Insurance can be a challenge for plenty of people and, sadly, most businesses don’t pay enough attention to their insurance program.
The relationship that you have with your insurance broker is every bit as important as the relationship that you have with your accountant, financial adviser or solicitor.
Insurance is really all about peace of mind, so once you get your insurance program properly in place, you can get on with running your centre and looking after the children in your care.
So, what sort of things do you need to consider to make sure that your centre is properly insured ?
For a start, please think about these questions :-
- If my centre was totally destroyed by fire, what would it cost me to rebuild ?
- If my centre was totally destroyed by fire, what would it cost me to refit and restock ?
- How do the answers to these questions compare to the amount for which my centre is currently insured ?
- When was the last time I properly reviewed my insurance cover ?
For an obligation free review of your current insurance program, please call Domina General Insurance Brokers on 0242 552855 or 0438 336646.

Young Academics Early Learning Centre - Smeaton Grange is proud of the relationships we build not only with our children and families but also with the community. In may we saw Young Academics Smeaton Grange host a fundraiser as part of their Mother’s day celebrations. This event saw the service liaise with a number of businesses in the community to conduct what would be an amazing event.
On Friday 6th May Young Academics Smeaton Grange held a Mother’s Day High Tea for all our mums, grandmas and aunties. The event was also a fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Each room had a special activity planned for the afternoon such as jewellery making, pink sensory collage and a photo booth. The mums, grandmas and aunties all enjoyed lots of yummy treats made by Miss Bianca and her mum.
To raise money we sold raffle tickets, held a jellybean guessing competition and had a silent auction for a beautiful cake. Raffle prizes were all donated by local businesses who were very happy to support our fundraising event.
We had about 60 mums, aunties and grandmas join us over the afternoon and all the educators received so much positive feedback.
We are proud to announce that we raised $784.30 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation!
